About
Timothy (Tim) Wiher is a board certified Family Medicine Doctor who did his medical training at University of California, Irvine (UCI) and Long Beach Memorial Family Medicine Residency. He also got his MBA from UCI.
During his training, he started every day with a simple mantra: "Today, I'm going to do whatever I can in my ability to help the person in front of me." As the days passed, there seemed to be obstacle after obstacle getting in the way of him practicing in the way that he wanted. He came to the conclusion that he couldn't continue in the insurance-based medical system and founded Trust Direct Primary Care, where he could have the time to connect with his patients and actually help in the way he wanted.
Along the way, he received the recognition of summa cum laude, Dr. Alvin A. Shapero Outstanding Student Award in Family Medicine, Paul Feldstein Health Care Management Award, and was part of the team that received the AAFP Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) Program of Excellence Award. He also took special interest in lifestyle medicine and integrative medicine. He completed the Health Education to Advance Leaders in Integrative Medicine (HEAL-IM) program at UCI and is planning on becoming certified in Lifestyle Medicine (DipABLM) after taking his board exam in November 2026.

Personal Life
Tim has spent pretty much his whole life in Irvine. He went to Irvine High School and UCI for Undergrad (BS in Biological Sciences) and Med School. Nowadays, when he's not working, Tim is reading or listening to podcasts about philosophy and macroeconomics 👨🏫. He will also join in a game of soccer ⚽ or volleyball 🏐 if anyone wants to play. Otherwise, he spends the rest of his time with his family. He has 2 younger brothers and an older sister. His mom's side of the family is from Austria 🇦🇹 and dad's side of the family is from Switzerland 🇨🇭.
