Learn about the practice, philosophy, and values that set us apart.

Our Mission

To show the world that it's still possible to provide excellent and affordable medical care in the spirit of the Hippocratic tradition, and to hopefully earn your trust in the process.

Hippocratic Oath

From the Hippocratic Oath

“I swear by Apollo, Healer… and by all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will carry out, according to my ability and judgment, this oath…”

“Into whatsoever house I enter, I will enter to help the sick… I will use my skills to benefit my patients according to my greatest ability and judgment, and I will do no harm or injustice to them.”

The Vision

“I believe that trust is the foundation of any relationship–especially the doctor-patient relationship. Imagine a world where your medical care was delivered not by decree, but through competence, consistency and reliability, genuineness and authenticity, shared values and an understanding of who you are–your hopes, your dreams, what concerns you, what doesn’t concern you, and your preferences on how you like to receive your care–that’s how I want to practice medicine.”

Our Values

Diagnostic Excellence

This is the reason doctors go to medical school, so they can come up with the right diagnosis. You can't make a relevant treatment plan if you don't identify the root cause of the problem first. I strive to take care of 80-90% of the cases that I am faced with, and will make sure to connect you with the best person I can find to help with the rest.

Communication & Convenience

You have your doctor's phone number and can call, text, or make an appointment whenever you need to. Clear communication, responsiveness, and 30–60 minute appointment slots mean we can actually make progress towards accomplishing your health goals. Smaller patient panel means same/next-day appointments. Easy telehealth appointments so you can fit things into your schedule.

Affordability & Transparency

Wholesale medications, at-cost labs, at-cost imaging services, and price transparency. I believe healthcare should be accessible and affordable for everyone. The focus is on what YOU need. Not what the insurance company or the pharmaceutical company needs.

Accountability

One of the problems in the traditional medical system is that no one wants to take responsibility for your medical problem. Wrong diagnosis? Nobody cares because either they'll never see you again or just refer to a specialist with a 3-4 month wait time. Suddenly sick? Sorry, no appointments for the next 3 months, you have to go to the urgent care. Do you want to have somebody that you can say: “that's my doctor!”? I can be that person for you.

Doctor-Patient Relationship

The doctor-patient relationship is sacred. I never want to dishonor that. Before rendering any treatment or plan of care, I ask myself “is this the right thing to do?” or in other words “is this ethically good” or “is this in line with my Hippocratic Oath?” There has to be some overarching principles or else medicine can become very treacherous.

Upholding Humanity

I care about people. I'm curious. I find people endlessly fascinating. I want to learn about who you are, what you believe, what you value, what risks you're willing to take, what you want out of life, and of all the solutions that are available to me, which ones match up best with your values and preferences, what are the expected outcomes, and being there with you to walk through the process.

Teamwork

You know your body better than anyone. At the same time, I have seen thousands of people, at different stages of their condition, so I have a unique experience that could help. I need your insight into you as an individual and you need me to be the one who sees things from a bird's-eye view. If we work together, we can use this synergy to come to the best possible outcomes.

Virtue and Wisdom

I want to help and to heal in a way that is more grounded in the wisdom of the hippocratic tradition. If you believe that health should be about more than just insurance checklists, but instead, that true health starts with healthy habits, a connection to something greater than yourself, and a doctor who is proficient at diagnosis, understands your individual circumstances, and takes the time to teach you about your condition and specifically what it means for YOUR life, then join me on my quest.
